Food Rules

I want to rave about FOOD.. because it's just so damn good!

I'm talking about real food; food that eventually rots, food that has no additives, no E numbers,

no long-life-shelf-life.

Nutrition journalist and author Michael Pollan notices how eating in out time has gotten complicated and it seems so many of us have forgotten how to eat mindfully, simply, and humbly

He speaks of the "edible food like substances" that fill the middle aisles of our supermarkets,

of how these processed foods often contain more than 5 added ingredients in them,

and how often these ingredients are so complex a child can not even pronounce them!

I stand by his simple mantra: Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't. All hail the vegetable!
